FifeScreen & TayScreen at VisitScotland Expo 2012!
FifeScreen & TayScreen will be attending the VisitScotland Expo 2012 at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh. The Expo runs from Wednesday 25th-Thursday 26th April. We are attending the Expo with our Fife Council Promoting Fife colleagues at the Welcome to Fife stand, and will be promoting Fife on film.
The Kingdom of Fife has long been favoured by filmmakers in search of beautiful, interesting and dramatic locations: West Sands beach in St Andrews took a starring role in ‘Chariots of Fire’; the historic village of Culross has played host to ‘Kidnapped’ starring Michael Caine, ‘The Little Vampire’, Marvel’s 2011 box office hit ‘Captain America’ and the upcoming ‘Under the Skin’, starring Scarlett Johansson; the stunning East Neuk has provided a backdrop to ‘The Winter Guest’ directed by Alan Rickman and starringPhyllida Law and Emma Thompson; and ‘Happy Lands’, the new film by Theatre Workshop Scotland is set during the 1926 Fife coal miner’s strike - which will be presented at the Expo by TWS's Michael Pedersen.
Lots of other fantastic businesses and organisations from Fife will also be attending, from Knockhill Racing Circuit and Deep Sea World to samples of Fife's larder from Cairnie Fruit Farm, Ardross Farm Shop and Puddledub Pork.
FifeScreen will be at the Expo on Thursday 26th. Find us at the Welcome to Fife stand and come say hi!
