Are you an established filmmaker or a budding one? Fancy a Co-director credit on a feature documentary film? We Are Northern Lights are popping up at the Hannah Maclure Centre in Dundee on Thursday 14th June 6.30 – 8pm and they want to meet you! This special event is being ran in collaboration with somewhere.to and Dundee’s own Jam Collective.

Part of the Year of Creative Scotland 2012, Northern Lights is Scotland’s first ever mass-participation film project. The project explores Scotland’s past, present and future and through gathering together video submissions from the general public, will create a unique feature-length documentary portrait of Scotland in 2012.

To mark the half-way point, the project is redoubling its efforts to reach further across Scotland by inviting people of all ages and backgrounds, to take part by sending in their footage of this great small country before the final submission deadline of June 21st.

This event gives you the opportunity to come and meet award winning Northern Lights director Nick Higgins.  Nick will brainstorm your ideas, give you pointers and tips on shooting a video and tell you how you can get access to cash awards of up to £10k!

So, what you waiting for, everyone is welcome. Come along and see for yourself how easy it is to get involved with the Northern Lights Project!
