Hollywood star filming in Dundee for BBC
On location with local literary legend and his obedient Servant?
The seaside, an ocean breeze and Scotland’s sunniest city – a new BBC series has brought the cast and crew of new comedy series “Bob Servant Independent” to Broughty Ferry in Dundee for location filming.
Starring in the series is Hollywood actor, Dundee born Brian Cox (Ironclad, Citizen Gangster, Troy and many, many more). This time he’s playing a would-be politician in his quest for election success.
Mark Freeland, controller of comedy for the BBC told the Courier newspaper ''I am delighted that we will see Bob Servant make more spectacular strides towards the seat of power in Broughty Ferry. With Bob's unstoppable energy and his running mate Frank at his side, nothing can possibly go wrong.''
Local businesses in Broughty Ferry have also enjoyed the presence of the crew with many getting in on the action displaying ‘election’ posters in their windows.
Owner of local pub and restaurant, the Ferry Inn, Phil Stewart said "It's fantastic for the Ferry and for local businesses. We have had a lot of extras in and we've been feeding them."
