The Sound Lab run by Edinburgh International Film Festival's Talent Development scheme will be a five day programme designed to educate and inspire in the art and craft of sound design for feature films. The participants will learn in the world-class film sound facilities of Savalas, one of the UK's leading sound post-production companies. Savalas has always been driven by a passion for creativity and innovation in sound and music, and in its 15-year history, has established an exemplary reputation for sound design for feature films, games, TV, commercials and interactive media. Past projects include Peter Mullen's Magdelene Sisters and Neds, Nicolas Winding Refn's Valhalla Rising and Andrea Arnold's Red Road, amongst many others.
On the final day of the programme, our Sound Lab participants will team up with our Composer's Lab participants at EIFF for a day of networking, collaborating and opportunities to speak with successful industry sound designers.
Deadline is 5pm on Friday 20 April 2012.
