A short film competition is now open for submissions to Keep Bestival Green and Tidy on 6th September, over 50,000 people will gather on the Isle of Wight for four days of music and arts; when it ends in 10th September, the aim is to leave the area spotless. To try to get the auidence to take responsibility in achieving this, the organisers are looking for a creative, innovative and engaging short film. The winning short film will be shown on the Bestivak screens between bands at the Main Stage and the Big Top on a number of occasions throughout the weekend.
The film must be between thirty seconds and two minutes long. Please do not make a film focusing on the audience taking their tents home with them, as this has already been covered in another short film. Have a look at the green initiatives that Bestival already has in place - you can incorporate one or more, or even none at all, if you feel you have a strong, overriding message.
The maker of the winning short film will receive two ticktes to Bestivak; the judges are Bestoval cuators Rob and Josie da Bank and the Bestival Green Team. The brief closes at 5pm on 3rd August; please go to http://2012.bestival.net/news/calling-all-short-film-makers.
