Fast forward for new movie Time Teens: The Beginning

Date: (13/02/2015)

It’s glam rags on for this time travel movie premiere at G1’s Perth Playhouse from regional companies Baudelaire and Dream Castle and showing 20th February on.

Hats and bonnets off to Ryan Alexander Dewar and Ian Grieve – they have finally done  it.  After a whole lot of work and getting people involved on a wish and a prayer basis, their feature films Time Teens: The Beginning is now ready to roll.

The movie has been filmed entirely on locations on their home turf of Perthshire and Angus including the iconic Glamis Castle.

Featured actors include some well known film and TV faces.  There's Andy Gray (City Lights, Two Thousand Acres of Sky, Rab C Nesbitt), Tom McGovern (, Doctors, Holby City), Ralph Riach (Cloud Atlas, Monarch of the Glen) and Annie Louise Ross (Katie Morag,Trainspotting).  All of these and Ian himself of course whose credits include Rebus and Garrow’s Law.

What’s the plot?

“Time Travel exists. William is a Turasaiche ( a descendant time traveller) who works for the World Time forum, policing time crime at the world office in Perth, Scotland. When William is sent a letter from the future, he is shown what might happen if his journey continues. To Change it, he must recruit a new team.”

TV Series Beckons

Produced as an independent movie, the project has seen impressive support from actors and crew not to mention the cinema itself and Baudelaire and Dream Castle are looking to their first drama feature co-production as a platform to launch a TV series.

I must confess to being a supporter of Ryan, especially because he’s from my Dad’s home town of Forfar.  He (Ryan, that is)  got into  filmmaking at 15 and has since travelled around more than 50 countries doing video production for cruise companies..

He formed an alliance with Perth based actor Ian and in time they set about creating and producing Time Teens.   Their first venture together was “A journey to Etna”, a feature length documentary  following a charity team who trek the most active volcano in Europe to raise money.

Inevitably, they had to endure the trek itself, camera in hand.

Ryan has also produced two short films "Big Red" and "The Otherside".
