The Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF) 2012 is now open for entries. It's a great opportunity for filmmakers to broadcast their work to a wider audience.
ASFF 2012 takes place in York from Thursday 8th - Sunday 11th November. The screenings will cover a wide variety of styles, including: drama, documentary, animation, comedy, music video, thriller, experimental and artists' film.
The films will be showcased across 15 iconic locations in the city, from medieval halls to boutique cinemas and in addition to four days of screenings there will also be a series of masterclasses, workshops and networking with leading industry figures. The winner will also receive £500 among other prizes and screenings at a number of other UK festivals, and the runner-up will receive £250.
A shortlist of finalists will be included on the ASFF Sampler DVD, which will be distributed with the December 2012 issue of Aesthetica Magazine, an international arts and culture publication.
