Edinburgh International Film Festival Talent Lab 2012
EIFF Talent Lab gives up-and-coming filmmakers a fantastic opportunity to learn from the world’s key film industry players.
The Festival is offering thirty Scottish, UK and international directors, producers and screenwriters the unmissable chance to discuss the industry, their projects and their ideas with a selection of invited industry professionals including sales agents, executive producers, literary agents, story editors and distributors.
Drawing on the Festival’s successful track record in talent development, the EIFF Talent Lab will lead participants in group discussions, workshops and networking events as well as hosting an invaluable afternoon of 1-2-1 advice and information sessions with experienced industry insiders, all with the aim of honing skills and building confidence within a new generation of filmmakers.
30 filmmakers will be selected to take part in the EIFF Talent Lab which will run from Friday 22 to Monday 25 June 2012. Participants will also receive a full festival Industry pass to allow them to immerse themselves in all the events and passholder screenings on offer.
A small group of Scottish producer participants from the 2012 Talent Lab will also be given the chance to attend the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival as industry delegates and EIFF will design a bespoke schedule for these producers to help them navigate and experience one of the largest North American festivals.
