In the School of Arts, Media and Computer Games, we aim to educate our students to be the innovators and ground breakers in tomorrows computing and digital media-based industries. We offer a wide range of courses, from ethical hacking and games programming at the science and technology end, to narrative-based animation and digital media creation at the arts end. We have strong links with industry and major companies, and through those links we ensure that our courses are current and relevant

Involving both independent study and group work, students will produce and present campaigns to real clients, develop a portfolio of work to demonstrate their skills and abilities and learn from industry practitioners on visits to agencies and media owners. Units include: Advertising; Public Relations; Media Analysis; Marketing; Media Sales; Marketing Research; Consumer Behaviour; Copywriting; Creative Industries.

Applicants to the HND Computer Art and Design apply to either the Digital Art (visual communication) based stream focusing on Illustration and Graphic Design or the Animation based stream. Both aim to develop critical awareness of contemporary practice and developing knowledge of Computer Art and Design contexts within industry.
