A young woman joins a group of protesters trying to stop the construction of a highway through a forest. Her real aim is to seduce their leader. In the morning when the authorities arrive to disband the protesters, she hits a man with a log. The pair go on the run and with the help of an invalid woman who is sympathetic to them, they are able to slip through police roadblocks. Traveling with her, they learn she is an ex-army lesbian who wants to see a last sunrise on Orkney before her death. A road movie that travels the A9.
